Well the 1st stop was a whopping 25 miles away, at Algonac Harbour Club. We spent the weekend with fellow boaters; Dave/Carol Vrabel, Rich/Anita Cook, and Dave/Shelly Herzog. So far feels just like a normal boating/drinking weekend. Probably will start feeling like a voyage as we get up to northern michigan. Next stop Lexington Michigan in Lake Huron.

With about 50 close friends, fellow boaters, and family – the farewell party was a great success. It was a very humbling event for Jonell & I to experience the true love we felt yesterday. Special thanks to Gate man Dan, Bagel Brenda, Bartender Eric, Car Porter Kenny, photographers Diane, Brenda, and Joe. Special thanks for the great gifts from the Nofferts, Durrants, Spraggs, Shellers, Aunt Betty/Unc Wayne, Jerry/Deena Luck, Shannon/Scott Knight,  Eric/Laura, and the Wheelers. Special thanks to all the FCA folks who surprised me with their visit yesterday.

If you are planning to attend the farewell event this Saturday 10am-Noon, you may wish to bring a couple lawn chairs as there is limited seating on the Miller Marina grassy knoll.

Be aware that on the same day we depart, this Saturday July 15th @ 10am-12pm;
St Clair Shores will be having a festival (10am-6pm) with some activities occurring at the Blossom Heath Park.
The festival should not affect our activity, there will just be a lot of cars at the park. If there are any parking attendants, just tell them you are going to the marina.

Event = Bagels, Beer, & Bloody Mary’s (bartender Eric Vrabel)
Date = Saturday July 15th
Time = 10am-12pm
Location = Miller Marina (24770 E. Jefferson, St Clair Shores, 48080)

Same directions as the July 1st post
1. Miller Marina entrance is on Jefferson ave, just south of 10 mile rd
2. Upon turning off Jefferson, go past the fountains & Blossom Heath banquet hall.
3. Follow the signs to the Boat Launch Ramp to the left.
4. Slowly drive past the guard at the boat ramp check point, give a wave when passing
5. Drive past the park on the left and boat slips on the right.
6. Continue driving east toward the lake (strait ahead).
7. When almost at the lake, look for our son Dan in a silver Fiat 500
8. Dan will open the gate and let you in to the gated portion of Miller Marina.
9. Drive thru the gate and head towards the lake, meet us on the Grassy Knoll !

Hard to believe that it is July already, departure is only 2 weeks from today !
If you wish to give a Bon Voyage ; handshake, hug, hand wave – we will be having a short 2-3 hour goodbye event on Saturday morning, July 15th.

7 Couples (+ 2 kids, 1 baby, 1 dad, 3 large dogs, 1 cat)
Each couple assigned one of the many large rooms at the Ronzello Ranch (5600 sq ft on 75 acres)
Traveled room to room with a different Food/Drink offering in each room; Polish, Mexican, Cajun, etc.
Great Food, Great Drink, Great Friends, & Great Time had by all.
